Visiting the area for the first time? We highly recommend one of our unique self guided E-Bike Tours! All tours include: trailside parking and facilities for you and your crew, EBike rental, helmet and bike lock, optional turn by turn directions, on-call support and our pre-trip Local Area Ride Guide in your confirmation email so that you can be prepared for your day of adventure in advance!

FIRESIDE FAT TIRE EBIKE TOUR

Enjoy the snow and winter in a whole new way! Our fat tire electric bike rides are an outdoor activity for skiers and non-skiers alike. This one-of-a-kind adventure can be found only in VT. Ride the car-free Lamoille Valley Rail Trail taking in the natural beauty of the freshly fallen snow, scenic snow-capped mountains, and river valleys covered in sparkling white from the seat of your electric fat bike. Explore the Vermont outdoors or plan a visit to one of the four villages along the trail where you can experience VT food, art, shopping and brewery hopping! We’ve got a variety of biking options for those looking to expand their winter adventure horizons. This self-guided ebike adventure includes ebike rental, helmet, trail Ride Guide, and all rides will culminate with a delicious fireside hot chocolate at our Trailside Bike Center! *Skiing/snowmobile type outfits are recommended to keep you cozy for this adventure! Gloves vs. mittens are required for shifting gears.

SELF-GUIDED EBIKE AND BREW TOUR

Beer and Bikes, two of man's greatest inventions! We bring the two together with an adventure ebike tour that includes stops at FOUR local, yet national breweries, Rock Art Brewery, Lost Nation Brewery, Soulmate Brewing Company and Ten Bends Beer, all from the seat of your electric bike! This tour combines the best of our scenic tours and is almost exclusively on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. Vermont is well known as the craft brew capital of the country. Our four breweries offer guests the chance to experience expertly produced quality ale with something for everybody! We offer this unique tour until the snow flies. If you want to enjoy the beautiful, car-free trail scenery and visit the breweries at your own time and pace, perhaps grab a bite to eat while you're at Lost Nation or any of the other great eateries on and nearby the trail, then this is the option for you! In addition to your full day EBike rental, guests receive a local Ride Guide and Brew Tour Itinerary emailed in advance with easy navigational info and all the details/history of the breweries you'll be visiting. On the day of your ride, we'll have turn by turn directions for your group ready to be mounted on the handlebar of your bike so that you may explore the trail, the breweries and sample at your leisure.
*If participating in this tour October thru March we highly recommend you bundle up for this adventure to keep you cozy while you ride! Layers, winter outerwear and GLOVES.
VT BACKROADS EBIKE TOUR

Vermont is big on adventure and while the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is a great place to spend the day, our quiet backroads offer a whole different plethora of views and attractions! We offer easy to moderate to advanced Backroad Bike Tours that are designed to bring you from the valley to the hills with stunning scenery, exceptional ride routes and local sites that will have your feeling like (or wanting to be) a local. Ride up from or begin your ride in the valley for some panoramic views of the mountains. Enjoy swimming holes, covered bridges and picnic spots that you can bike to at your own pace. This tour is available for both EBikes and non-EBikes with your choice of a Self-Guided Ride or a GUIDED option. (GUIDED available June through October) Routes can be customized from 8 to 30+ miles to meet your needs. Route, map, and turn by turn directions are all provided for your trip so you can relax and enjoy the ride. We provide iphone bike mounts to follow your route with ease!
GUIDED EBIKE AND BREW TOUR

Our local guides will not only show you the way and a few scenic shortcuts but will entertain you with local insight and trail history along the way. You and your crew will be able to sample Vermont beer, and enjoy an appetizer! Our guides know all the secrets of the trail and hidden sites along the way, as well as a wealth of knowledge on the brews you'll be enjoying and are there to show you a good time and keep you on time! Perfect for larger groups or those looking to efficiently and focus on the FUN!
EBIKES AND BOATS TOUR

This unique self-guided tour combines both of the best outdoor activities in Vermont and makes for a great half-day adventure for the whole family! The tour includes a scenic E-bike ride on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail with an equally grand canoe excursion down the Lamoille River with Vermont Canoe and Kayak. Begin your journey on the rail trail in Johnson and pedal your way following the river all the way to the riverbank headquarters of VT Canoe and Kayak in Jeffersonville. From there you'll park your bike, get outfitted with your boat (canoe or kayak) and be dropped off upriver, floating your way back to your E-bike transportation for the day! Following your paddle you'll enjoy a leisurely E-bike ride back to your car.
All equipment (E-bike, helmet, canoe or kayak, life jacket, paddle) will be provided for you. Pedal then paddle on this ultimate Vermont adventure! *Or pedal and redeem paddle voucher separately any day of the week within 7 days of purchase.
PEDAL TO PEEP FOLIAGE TOUR

Lamoille Valley Bike Tours invites you to step out of your car and onto a comfortable electric bike to view the spectacular beauty of Vermont’s foliage up close and personal with a self guided E-bike adventure on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. This 93 mile car-free trail sports a working farm landscape, sweeping fields of flowers, beautiful and wild river plain, and breathtaking mountainous scenery in the summer. Come Fall, the brilliant colors of Autumn’s foliage add to this for an unforgettable experience! Tour guests will receive a Leaf Peeping Trail Ride Guide in your confirmation email with all the amenities, attractions, trail information and best places for prime foliage views and photo ops! This tour is designed to be flexible and give you the opportunity to explore the best parts of the trail at your own pace. Our Full Day tour allows guests to spend the day traveling this scenic trail and enjoy shopping, dining, brewery hopping, fishing, and site seeing. Ride beyond the village destination hubs for incredible foliage scenery, birding opportunities and wildlife views! Our Half Day tour is great for those looking to travel to the next town over for a lunch ride and dine or exploration and shopping before turning around and returning to our bike center. . Our E-bikes provide a smooth ride that allows plenty of energy for adventure for all ages 10-100! Try picnicking by the river or on a scenic area of the trail. Plan your day around some shopping and dining or bike as much of the trail as you can fit into your tour time and catch as much of those foliage views as possible! *This time of year can be a bit chilly in VT, especially in the mornings. Thick layers, windproof outer layers and gloves are highly recommended to keep you cozy while you ride!
NAKED NOVEMBER ADVENTURE TOUR

The 93 mile car-free Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is packed with breathtaking mountain scenery, wild river plains, rolling farm fields and travels through 4 quaint Vermont villages. Come see it undressed! When the leaves have fallen and before the snow flies the scenery opens up to reveal a whole new landscape and this fantastic trail can still be enjoyed with ease by ebike! Our Adventure Tours are designed to be flexible and give you plenty of time to explore the best parts of the trail at your own pace. This tour includes a local trail Ride Guide sent to you in advance in your confirmation email with all the amenities, trail information and attractions for day trips in the central portion of the rail trail. Try picnicking by the river or on a scenic area of the trail. Plan your day around some shopping and dining at any of the authentic Vermont shops, cafes, restaurants and breweries located right on or nearby the trail. Our E-bikes provide a smooth ride that allows plenty of energy for adventure for all ages! For the little ones we offer cargo (passenger) ebikes and tow-along trailers for a full family experience!
