Fall Foliage Tours

We offer a variety of seasonal self-guided Fall tours to choose from!

All tours include: trailside parking and facilities for you and your crew, EBike rental, helmet, free pannier/saddle bag rental, detailed trail guidance by our knowledgeable onsite staff, optional turn by turn directions, on-call support and our pre-trip Local Area Ride Guide in your confirmation email so that you can plan your day of adventure in advance! All Tours begin and end at our trailside bike center.

*This time of year can be a bit chilly in VT, especially in the mornings. Thick layers, windproof outer layers and gloves are highly recommended to keep you cozy while you ride!

Foliage Adventure Tour

Available Daily Sept. 15 - Oct. 31

Leaf peep in a whole new way! Lamoille Valley Bike Tours invites you to step out of your car and onto a comfortable electric bike to view the spectacular beauty of Vermont’s foliage up close and personal with a self guided E-bike adventure on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. This 93 mile car-free trail sports a working farm landscape, sweeping fields of flowers, beautiful and wild river plain, and breathtaking mountainous scenery in the summer. By Fall the brilliant colors of Autumn’s foliage add to this for an unforgettable experience! Our self-guided Foliage Adventure Tours are designed to be flexible and give you the opportunity to explore the best parts of the trail at your own pace. Our Full Day tour allows guests to spend the day traveling this scenic trail and enjoy shopping, dining, brewery hopping, fishing, and site seeing. Ride beyond the village destination hubs for incredible foliage scenery, birding opportunities and wildlife views! Our Half Day tour is great for those looking to travel to the next town over for a lunch ride and dine or exploration and shopping before turning around and returning to our bike center. The Adventure Tour includes a trail Ride Guide emailed in advance with all the amenities, trail information and attractions. Our E-bikes provide a smooth ride that allows plenty of energy for adventure for all ages 10-100! Try picnicking by the river or on a scenic area of the trail. Plan your day around some shopping and dining or bike as much of the trail as you can fit into your tour time and catch as much of those foliage views as possible!

Foliage Bike and Brew

Beer and Bikes, two of man's greatest inventions! We bring the two together with a foliage adventure EBike tour unlike anything you've ever experienced. Visit four breweries by electric bike almost exclusively on the car-free Lamoille Valley Rail Trail! Brewery stops include Rock Art Brewery, Ten Bends Beer, Soulmate Brewing Company and Lost Nation Restaurant and Brewery. Enjoy the beautiful, car-free trail scenery of mountains and wild river valleys decked out in its Fall foliage finery and visit the breweries at your own time and pace. Grab a bite to eat while you're at Lost Nation or any of the other great eateries on and nearby the trail! Vermont is well known as the craft brew capital of the country. Our four breweries offer guests the chance to experience expertly produced quality ale with something for everybody! In addition to your EBike transportation, guests receive a local Ride Guide and Brew Tour Itinerary emailed in advance with easy navigational info and all the details/history of the breweries you'll be visiting. On the day of your ride, we'll have turn by turn directions for your group ready to be mounted on the handlebar of your bike so that you may explore the trail, the breweries and sample at your leisure.

Backroad Foliage Tour

Vermont is big on adventure and while the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is a great place to spend the day, our quiet backroads offer a whole different plethora of foliage views! We offer easy to moderate to advanced Backroad Bike Tours that are designed to bring you from the valley to the hills with stunning foliage scenery, exceptional ride routes and local sites that will have your feeling like (or wanting to be) a local. Enjoy panoramic views of the mountains, waterfalls, covered bridges and picnic spots that you can bike to at your own pace. This tour is available for both EBikes and non-EBikes with your choice of a GUIDED or Self-Guided Ride. Routes can be customized from 8 to 30+ miles to meet your needs. Route, map, and turn by turn directions are all provided for your trip so you can relax and enjoy the ride. We provide iphone bike mounts to follow your route with ease!
