Choose your own adventure! The car-free Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is packed with breathtaking mountain scenery, wild river plains and rolling farm fields. Our Summer Adventure Tours are designed to be flexible and give you plenty of time to explore the best parts of the trail at your own pace. We will provide a Ride Guide full of information about the LVRT and the many shops and restaurants accessible from the trail and you have the freedom to decide where you want to go and what you want to see. Our E-bikes provide a smooth ride that allows plenty of energy for adventure for all ages 10 to 100! Try picnicking by the river or on a scenic area of the trail. Take a dip in a classic Vermont swimming hole. Plan your day around some shopping and dining at any of the authentic Vermont shops, cafes and restaurants located in each town, or in some cases, right on the trail!

PEDAL PADDLE TOUR

This unique tour combines both of the best outdoor activities in Vermont and makes for a great half-day adventure for the whole family! The tour includes a scenic E-bike ride on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail with an equally grand canoe excursion down the Lamoille River with VT Canoe and Kayak. Begin your journey on the rail trail in Johnson and pedal your way following the river all the way to the riverbank headquarters of VT Canoe and Kayak in Jeffersonville. From there you'll park your bike, get outfitted with your boat (canoe or kayak) and be dropped off upriver, floating your way back to your E-bike transportation for the day! Following your paddle you'll enjoy a leisurely E-bike ride back to your car. All equipment (E-bike, helmet, canoe or kayak, life jacket, paddle) will be provided for you. Pedal then paddle on this ultimate Vermont adventure! *Or pedal and redeem paddle voucher separately any day of the week within 7 days of purchase.
BIKE AND BREW TOUR

Beer and Bikes, two of man's greatest inventions! We bring the two together with a guided adventure E-bike tour that includes stops at three local breweries, Rock Art Brewery, Lost Nation Brewery and Ten Bends Beer, from the seat of your electric bicycle! This guided tour combines the best of our scenic tours and is almost exclusively on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. Get a chance to learn some local and trail history along the way, try the beer, enjoy a free appetizer and receive two pint glasses as a souvenir of your trip!
*We require a minimum of 4 riders in order to provide this tour. Call now to get added to a tour. If we do not acquire enough riders the day you're interested we will be happy to set you up with the Adventure Tour. (Must be 21 or older to receive samples.)
SPOKES AND SPIRITS TOUR

For liquor enthusiasts this tour is a unique and fun way to experience samples of some of Vermont's most exquisite spirits! Ride the most scenic stretch of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail to the popular village of Jeffersonville, home of the infamous Smuggler's Notch mountain pass, and since 2006, the Smuggler's Notch Distillery. With over 10 spirits including gin, whiskey, rum and vodka (including gluten free!), distilled in pristine Vermont spring water, SND offers a wide variety of delicious spirits for guests to choose to sample. Sip and learn a little about what goes into their unique distilling process! Guests will have an opportunity to sample spirits and will receive a one of a kind SND tasting glass as a gift. Visit the onsite store and explore Jeffersonville Village before sailing back to Johnson on your e-bike!

Ride the scenic LVRT from Morrisville Oxbow Park to the quaint & historically preserved town of Johnson, VT. Follow a picturesque back road route which includes stunning views of Vermont’s Green Mountains, maple lined back roads and clear mountain streams. Your route brings you to Fledermaus Teahouse, a uniquely beautiful European-styled barn café located in the hills of rural Johnson. Enjoy a walk through the onsite herb gardens, a tea or coffee among the shaded wooded scenery of their outdoor accommodations or sit inside the quaint teahouse surrounded by the heavy timbers of a hand-crafted carriage barn. Enjoy traditional European confections, delicious savory dishes and a hot or chilled beverage. This tour includes an E-bike rental along with a beverage and dessert of your choice! Guests are free to enjoy additional food at your own expense. Finish off this unique tour by returning to the rail trail and sailing back to Morrisville on your E-bike! Lamoille Valley Bike Tours invites you to step out of your car and onto an electric bike to view the spectacular beauty of Vermont’s foliage up close and personal with a self guided E-bike adventure on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. This 17 mile car-free trail sports a working farm landscape, sweeping fields of flowers, beautiful and wild river plain, and breathtaking mountainous scenery. Add to that the brilliant colors of Autumn’s foliage and you’re in for an unforgettable experience! We will provide a Ride Guide full of information about the LVRT and the many shops and restaurants accessible from the trail and you have the freedom to decide where you want to go and what you want to see. Try picnicking by the river or on a scenic area of the trail. Plan your day around some shopping and dining at any of the authentic Vermont shops, cafes and restaurants located in each town, or in some cases, right on the trail. You can also use the time to bike as much of the trail as you can fit into your tour time!
