Choose your own adventure! The car-free Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is packed with breathtaking mountain scenery, wild river plains and rolling farm fields.  Our Summer Adventure Tours are designed to be flexible and give you plenty of time to explore the best parts of the trail at your own pace.  We will provide a Ride Guide full of information about the LVRT and the many shops and restaurants accessible from the trail and you have the freedom to decide where you want to go and what you want to see.  Our E-bikes provide a smooth ride that allows plenty of energy for adventure for all ages 10 to 100!  Try picnicking by the river or on a scenic area of the trail.  Take a dip in a classic Vermont swimming hole.  Plan your day around some shopping and dining at any of the authentic Vermont shops, cafes, restaurants and breweries located right on or nearby the trail!

(Minimum of 4 people) Beer and Bikes, two of man's greatest inventions!  We bring the two together with an adventure EBike tour that includes stops at three local, yet national breweries, Rock Art Brewery, Lost Nation Brewery and Ten Bends Beer, all from the seat of your electric bike! This tour combines the best of our scenic tours and is almost exclusively on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. Our local guides will not only show you the way but will entertain you with local insight and trail history along the way. You and your crew will be able to sample Vermont beer, and enjoy an appetizer! Our guides know all the secrets of the trail and hidden sites along the way, as well as a wealth of knowledge on the brews you'll be enjoying and are there to show you a good time and keep you on time! Perfect for larger groups or those looking to focus on FUN!



Offered Wed-Sat @ 11:00AM ($70) plus tax - 5 hr tour

(Maximum 6 people) Our guided tour customized for you! If you want to enjoy the breweries at your own time and pace, perhaps grab a bite to eat while you're at Lost Nation or any of the other great eateries on and nearby the trail then this is the option for you! Guests are provided with easy navigational info and all the details/history of the breweries you'll be visiting and you may explore and sample at your leisure.

A Pedal Paddle Tour that is sure to be the highlight of your trip!

This unique tour combines both of the best outdoor activities in Vermont and makes for a great half-day adventure for the whole family!  The tour includes a scenic E-bike ride on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail with an equally grand canoe excursion down the Lamoille River with VT Canoe and Kayak. Begin your journey on the rail trail in Johnson and pedal your way following the river all the way to the riverbank headquarters of VT Canoe and Kayak in Jeffersonville.  From there you'll park your bike, get outfitted with your boat (canoe or kayak) and be dropped off upriver, floating your way back to your E-bike transportation for the day!  Following your paddle you'll enjoy a leisurely E-bike ride back to your car.  All equipment (E-bike, helmet, canoe or kayak, life jacket, paddle) will be provided for you.  Pedal then paddle on this ultimate Vermont adventure!  *Or pedal and redeem paddle voucher separately any day of the week within 7 days of purchase.

Vermont is big on adventure and the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is a great place to spend the day but also a hub for all things biking in the area. For our return riders or those looking for more riding options in the area our Backroads Bike Tours are designed to bring you from the valley to the hills with stunning scenery, exceptional ride routes and local sites that will have your feeling like (or wanting to be) a local. We ride up from the valley to elevation for some panoramic views of the mountains and add a few swimming holes and picnic spots to your customized ride route that you can bike at your own pace. This tour is available for both EBikes and non-EBikes. Rides still start and end at our trailside bike center and routes can be customized from 20 to 30+ miles to meet your needs.

Ride the scenic LVRT from Morrisville Oxbow Park to the quaint & historically preserved town of Johnson, VT.  Follow a picturesque back road route which includes stunning views of Vermont’s Green Mountains, maple lined back roads and clear mountain streams.  Your route brings you to Fledermaus Teahouse, a uniquely beautiful European-styled barn café located in the hills of rural Johnson.  Enjoy a walk through the onsite herb gardens, a tea or coffee among the shaded wooded scenery of their outdoor accommodations or sit inside the quaint teahouse surrounded by the heavy timbers of a hand-crafted carriage barn. Enjoy traditional European confections, delicious savory dishes and a hot or chilled beverage.  This tour includes an E-bike rental along with a beverage and dessert of your choice!  Guests are free to enjoy additional food at your own expense.  Finish off this unique tour by returning to the rail trail and sailing back to Morrisville on your E-bike!  Email us at bikelamoille@gmail.com to make your reservation.

Leaf peep in a whole new way! Lamoille Valley Bike Tours invites you to step out of your car and onto an electric bike to view the spectacular beauty of Vermont’s foliage up close and personal with a self guided E-bike adventure on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail.  This 17 mile car-free trail sports a working farm landscape, sweeping fields of flowers, beautiful and wild river plain, and breathtaking mountainous scenery.   Add to that the brilliant colors of Autumn’s foliage and you’re in for an unforgettable experience!  We will provide a Ride Guide full of information about the LVRT and the many shops and restaurants accessible from the trail and you have the freedom to decide where you want to go and what you want to see.  Try picnicking by the river or on a scenic area of the trail.  Plan your day around some shopping and dining at any of the authentic Vermont shops, cafes and restaurants located in each town, or in some cases, right on the trail.  You can also use the time to bike as much of the trail as you can fit into your tour time and catch as much of those foliage views as possible!

*This time of year can be a bit chilly in VT, especially in the mornings.  Thick layers, windproof outer layers and gloves are highly recommended to keep you cozy while you ride!

Enjoy the snow and winter in a whole new way! Our fat tire electric bike rides are an outdoor activity for skiers and non-skiers alike. Ride the car-free Rail Trail or local backroads taking in the beauty of the freshly fallen snow, scenic mountains, and river valleys covered in white from the seat of your electric fat bike. Explore the art scene, shopping opportunities, and picturesque quaintness of the village of Johnson. Travel the LVRT by bike and visit one of the four Breweries along the trail! We’ve got a variety of biking options for those looking to expand their winter adventure horizons.  Your self-guided ebike adventure will culminate with a fireside marshmallow roast, hot chocolate and local cheese tasting at our trailside ebike center! Please dress for the weather (skiing/snowmobile type outfits are recommended and gloves vs. mittens are required for shifting gears).  

*LVBT follows a strict conditions policy and reserves the right to offer alternative routes based on conditions and/or may cancel tours based on temps/weather/riding conditions. Winter rides travel at a slower pace than our in season tours.
