ABOUT LAMOILLE VALLEY BIKE TOURS

LVBT is a local, family owned and operated business specializing in electric bicycle tours, rentals and sales on and around the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. Since 2016 we have aimed to excel at truly exceptional rides filled with inspiring and enriching experiences. We believe in seeing rural Vermont in the most unique way possible, by bike! Come view, visit, and explore the natural beauty, local attractions, artisans, breweries and businesses that make up Lamoille County, the heart of recreational Vermont! We want to share our knowledge and passion for the greater Stowe and Smugglers area with all of those who ride with us.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)

Where are you located? We are located TRAILSIDE on the LVRT in the town of Johnson, VT (19 Creamery Street, Johnson, VT 05656.
Do you provide helmets? Yes we provide helmets, and locks as part of your tour/rental. You are also welcome to bring your own.
Are your tours guided? Most all of our tours are SELF-GUIDED. We do offer a few guided tours for larger groups and riders venturing off the trail.
What is the difference between a tour and a rental? We want to inspire our riders to view, visit and explore the region from their bike. Our tours provide more local information and way finding for your to get the most out of your day but a self guided tour is the same as a 4 hr. rental. Our 2 hr. EBike rentals are based on DAY OF availability.
Do you have regular bikes? Yes we do have a number of regular "acoustic" bikes available for rent for both kids and adults. We also have some Gravel Bikes available for rent/demo.
I've never ridden an EBike what is it like? We use Pedal Assist EBikes with a mid drive motor system that provides an assist from a motor as you ride. It is basically a hybrid bike that will allow you to ride further, ride longer and see more of Vermont in the time you have. EBikes also allow for groups and families to bike together and leaves your with enough energy to enjoy the rest of your day.
What if the weather is bad on the day of my ride? Vermont is famous for its unpredictable weather! As biking is an outdoor activity please come prepared for possibilities of light showers, wind, sun and everything in between. We hold all tours unless there is steady rain. We issue full refunds (minus a processing fee) for steady-rain-related cancellations. Non weather related cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance for a refund (minus processing fee) to be issued.
